Since crossing the Atlantic in 2017, the ocean has been my place. I’ve lived aboard SAONA since January 2019, and in late 2021, Oli came on board to complete the crew. We spend our years moving through the Mediterranean, following the wind and the seasons.
Our life is defined by freedom, minimalism, and a deep respect for the natural world. I simply use this space to document our travels and the reality of a life lived at sea.

The Crew
In 2017, I swapped law books for logbooks, becoming a professional skipper and two-time Atlantic sailor. Since 2019, I’ve lived aboard the SAONA, navigating the Mediterranean’s most hidden corners. Oli is my faithful First Mate, unlicensed, perhaps, but with more sea hours than most captains. From solo voyages to shared adventures, this is our life at sea.
Past Horizons
Ionian Islands
Leaving the familiar shores of the Balearics behind, I set sail on June 1st, 2025. A single-handed voyage across the Mediterranean to reach Greece, followed by a summer of pure sailing through the Ionian Islands.
Balearic Islands
Since 2019, the Balearic Islands have been my summer sanctuary. Endless seasons spent exploring hidden coves and familiar anchorages, refining my skills and deepening my connection with these home waters year after year.
North Sea to Med
Starting in the cold winds of the North Sea in March 2019, we set out on a long delivery to bring SAONA home. A winter passage from Belgium to the Mediterranean that tested our resolve and marked the true beginning of my life as a boat owner.
